Blackwolf run is considered one of Pete Dye's crowning achievements. Nestled in the river basin formed by years of glacial runoff is where The River and Meadow Valleys golf courses lie.

It opened in 1988 and was named that year's "Best New Public Course". Since then, it has played host to numerous professional championships such as the Andersen Consulting World Golf Championships and the U.S. Women's Open.

The River
The River is a course intimidating to the professional and fair yet dramatic for the amateur. This course was built on a land that was previously rich for hunting and fishing and populated by the Winnebagos and Algonquins.
