Sola Strand Hotel’s restaurants and bar caters to every guest’s palate with local Norwegian flavors.

Den Glade Laks
With its farmhouse style décor, Den Glade Laks was the property’s original à la carte restaurant. This rustic dining hall now caters corporate and private events for up to 50 people.

Nye Solasalen and Solasalen
Guests of Nye Solasalen and Solasalen Restaurants are greeted with enlarged reproductions of watercolor paintings by Ellen Lund’s grandfather. Solasalen is the hotel’s a la carte restaurant with a daily breakfast service seating up to 100 guests. Using local flavors and produce, the menu was inspired by centuries of Norwegian culinary traditions created by the head chef.

Montroyalsalen
Guests are transported back in time when they dine in the original smoking room of a Canadian Pacific Line cruise ship repurposed into the property’s Montroyalsalen dining room. Materials of the ship were also used to create the dining room’s fireplace and windows and news publications from the 1840s are displayed to give guests an authentic nautical experience. With a movable stage fit for performances, Montroyalsalen is the ideal location to entertain up to 120 guests.

Montroyalsalen serves a lunch buffet on weekdays and a family buffet on Sundays.

Sverresalen
Similar to other Sole Strand Hotel buildings built with old vessel pieces, materials from the Kong Sverre frigate, Norway’s largest sailing warship, were used to construct the Sverresalen dining room. Today, Sverresalen is used for dining events with seating capacity of 120 guests.

Strandbaren
With outdoor seating on sunny days, Strandbaren is idyllic for a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, pastries, or a light meal. Views of sand dunes and the North Sea make for the perfect atmosphere whether dining alone or with company.
