Discover the Alvear Palace Hotel, which was first built in 1932 to accommodate European tourists who began flocking to Buenos Aires.

Alvear Palace Hotel was constructed during an era marked by global industrialization following World War I and before World War II.

The Alvear Palace Hotel was originally built in 1932 to accommodate the growing population of European tourists who were flocking to Buenos Aires at the time. The luxurious eleven-story building, with five basement levels, stands as an undisputed symbol of the city. It is located on the corner of Alvear Avenue and Ayacucho Street in the elegant La Recoleta neighborhood, near the best restaurants, cafes, antique shops, and boutiques that the city has to offer. The hotel was constructed to feature luxurious amenities and the highest level of service. Accommodations and public areas throughout the hotel are reminiscent of the courtly aesthetics embraced by Louis XV and Louis XVI of France, which was evident in the furniture, crystal chandeliers, and gold-leaf wall decor.
