Set on six beautifully landscaped acres in Santa Fe’s downtown, La Posada de Santa Fe was originally constructed as a mansion known as The Staab House. Completed in 1881, the estate served as the home of Abraham and Julia Staab, members of high society in Santa Fe. When Abraham Staab died in 1913, the house then passed through various hands until R.H. and Eulalia Nason acquired the location nearly two decades later. The Nasons subsequently transformed the building into a hotel called “La Posada.” La Posada became a luxurious resort when new owners expanded the site during the 1990s. The recipient of a coveted AAA Four Diamond Award, La Posada de Santa Fe is today among the most sought after holiday destinations in the country.
